Bulldog customers who have purchased the Mini Lock can further enhance its benifits be utilising the new BP50 Bayonet Post. Its simple twist and lock action makes securing caravans to a permanent position quick, easy and inexpensive.
The BP50 consists of a 76mm diameter, 5mm thick circular steel post with a hitch ball welded to the top. The ball is encased by short vertical sides which reach up either side of the hitch head when coupled and the top section of the post is case hardened for added security.
Once a permanent position in found for the caravan, the 300mm long, flush fitting receiver tube is concreted in place and allowed to dry. Using the BP50 is then simply a case of inserting the post into its receiver, twisting through 90° to engage the locking peg on the lower part of the post and hitching the caravan to the ball. Security is then completed by fitting a Bulldog Mini Lock to the hitch head to prevent operation of the release handle. A cover plate is provided to protect the receiver socket from ingress of debris when the post is removed.
The BP50 is suitable for most standard Alko and Albe hitch heads without integral stabilisers.
